I’m Isabelle - or Zaza - a trained French Patisserie Chef, cake designer, and the creator of Zaza Marcelle Cake Design.

Through Zaza Marcelle, I explored a more expressive, elevated approach to cake decorating - one that blends classic patisserie techniques with modern creativity. But the deeper I went into the cake world, the more I realised how much was missing:

  • Professional guidance that actually teaches technique.
  • Resources for standing out as a high-end cake brand.
  • A supportive space where cake makers can grow together.

And that’s what inspired me to create The Modern Cake Society.


The Society isn’t about following trends or piecing things together from endless YouTube tutorials. It’s about becoming the kind of Cake Artist who knows their craft, feels confident in their business, and creates work that truly stands out.
